March 3 primary Early Voting starts Feb. 16

Suburban Cook County voters who live in the 5th Congressional District
can participate in Early Voting for the March 3 Special Primary
beginning Monday, Feb. 16, Clerk David Orr reminded voters today.
Early Voting will run from Monday, Feb. 16 through Thursday, Feb. 26 at
the Clerk’s downtown office and two suburban sites.
The 5th Congressional District is comprised of 92 precincts in suburban
Cook County -- in Leyden and Proviso townships -- and 486 precincts in
the City of Chicago. Chicago residents should visit chicagoelections.com
to find their Early Voting sites.
The three Early Voting sites for suburban residents are:
Elmwood Park Village Hall, 11 Conti Parkway
Melrose Park Village Hall, 1000 N. 25th Ave.

The hours are Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and
Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. *Only the Clerk’s office will have Sunday
hours from 9 a.m. to noon.
Those choosing to vote early do not need to provide a reason or excuse.
Early voters are required to display valid identification before voting,
such as a current driver’s license, state-issued ID card or another
government-issued photo ID. All Early Voting ballots are cast on touch
screen voting machines.
